divi

White Mommy asked me last Wednesday to go with her to divi last weekend to buy toys for her kids birthday party. i agreed since i didn't have any plans.

i slept at her place Friday night so that we can go to divi early. My "early" is not the same as White Mommy's "early" since we left her place at around 10AM already.

as we were looking for a parking slot, the driver opened his window to ask the guard if we could park there. oh god, the stench is unbearable. we could barely breathe. immediately, the guard closed the window and quickly parked the car.

in divisoria you'll find all the stuff you'll ever need and all the kinds of people from all walks of life. there's the old homeless man, the taong grasa, the little boy high on drugs, the mother trying to make a living but a thief will get her day's earnings, the Chinese owner who can barely speak Filipino, etc. you can even find a malnourished horse being slaved by a more malnourished owner.

and oh, did i mention the stench already? unbelievably unbearable.

i live in a poor country.

windsurfing

i went to caliraya over the weekend with college friends. last week, i was so psyched in trying out windsurfing. and you guessed it right, i chickened out at the last minute. man, the amihan wind was at 30 knots. i couldn't stand on the surfboard. and it was drizzling at the same time. even some of the windsurfers stopped riding because the wind and rain might tear their sails.

at night, we had only one source of electricity - a flashlight. it was bloody cold, i was wearing 3 layers of clothes. and we were gonna sleep in a tent. we couldn't talk much because some of us were chattering. jeez, talk about freezing. we decided to hit the sack.

there that was my weekend. how was yours?

sale and a pair of moto jeans

i need a new pair of leather shoes because i will not be using my 2 other pairs anymore. so i asked my college friend to go with me to the mall yesterday. it is such a girl's delight when she sees signs with the word "SALE" on every stall in the mall. i honestly got distracted because of the signs. i so wanted to go to every stall. but i had limited mall time because i had to go to a birthday party.

no, i wasn't able to buy what i needed. instead, i ended up buying my 3rd pair of moto jeans. it was on sale, 50% off. good deal, eh?

study leave

this is for mamu ekek, who visits this bloody blog for istar updates.

That Korean Girl is leaving for Korea for a study leave for 5 months starting on March 1. Boo hoo. what will happen to my targets for KText???? haha, selfish me.

she's all set for this study leave. she can't be stopped even by Mr. M.

so to all her fans, get the most of her as you'll surely miss Krung Krung.

nakapangasawa

i had my hair relaxed and hot oiled last saturday. i don't go unnoticed by my friends nowadays because of my hair. all of them had already made a comment on it. and the best comment i got was from Krung Krung's road manager:

"Eh ano ka, nakapangasawa ng mayaman?!?"

And he said it loud enough for everyone to hear in Talent Center where there was an ongoing go see.

go figure how many people heard it.

and oh, he kept repeating it for the next three days every bloody time we saw each other.

seems

it seems that i've been working for a month now but really it has just been a week. i have never been so overwhelmed with the workload i have right now. this is what happens to you when you're away from work for three work weeks. it all started one hour before my departure. my team mate was calling me to vent out a work problem.

on second thought, the vacation leave was worth it.
