In the office bulletin board, there's a birthday list. Only the ones celebrating their birthday on the current month are posted there. So every month, there's a new list.

I just don't get it why people put comments like "Gwapo", "Pogi", or "Date tayo!". There are highlighted names. I am not sure though if it was done by someone else or by the celebrant himself/herself. There are also encircled names. And some have even put non-existent birthdays like May 32.

Oh come on! That is so jologs. Really. It is so jologs. I'm sorry for the term but I find it such a jolog attitude. Don't you guys have better things to say or write? There's the whole cyberspace to vandalize. Speak out there, just not in the office bulletin board where everyone can witness how jolog his/her officemates are. If you want to date someone, ask him or her personally. Not in the bulletin board. If you want to proclaim your admiration for someone or even admiration of oneself, shout in your bathroom! Not in the bulletin board. Not in the birthday list.

Ugh!

Nigel wants to get older ... fast!

This happened after eating merienda-after-dinner:

Me: Wow! Your tummy is so big. You're like a Buddha na.
Nigel: If I make my tummy bigger, will I get older?

Hahaha. He wants to get older because he knows he can do a lot more things that he's not allowed now. He always hears the reason "When you're older." So he thinks of ways to get older. Haha :)

Nigel as English teacher

Nigel was touching all the donuts. So his yaya said, "Nigel, stop touching them."

Me: Hey, stop touching them. You eat na.
Nigel: Its not them. They are not even people!

Aye, aye, Sir Nigel! Yes, he was sort of mad when he replied.

I was so surprised with his witty reply so I said, "Wow! That was such a smart reply Nige!"

And to which he replied, "Yeah, I'm really smart."

That sent me and his yaya laughing :)

Wack Wack Day ... I'm not counting anymore

Junjun, Jules brother, got an iPhone from his uncle. When he was showing it to me, Tiger said, "You can't tell Mom. You promise me not to tell Mom. It's a surprise."

I said, "Okay, I promise."

But I don't think Tiger believed me so he made a follow-up. "You promised not tell Mom."

And I replied, "Yeah, and hope to die."

He didn't say I can't blog about it. *wink*

Wack Wack Day 7

I slept in my place last night. I had to get clean clothes and had to give the dirty ones to Manang Linda.

Before heading to Wack Wack, I passed by McDonalds to buy the kids breakfast. Tiger ate the pancakes and french fries. Nigel took a pass because he's more interested in my playing with my laptop than eating breakfast.

Speaking of Nigel playing with my laptop, while he was at the Nick Games page, I asked him to read what's on the screen because Jules asked me to practice Nigel's new found skills since he is taking reading lessons now.

Me: Can you read that please?
Nigel: You, can you read that?

Oh yes, the perfect excuse :)

Pretty much spent my day sleeping. Not without interruptions though.

Wack Wack Day 3

Tiger and I watched the James Blunt concert last night with his aunts Ting and Kat. But before we were able to go to Araneta, there was an "emote" moment for Nigel.

Nigel saw his Kuya dress up. He knew that his Kuya was leaving the house. So I told him that I was going to the office and his Kuya was coming with me because he is my bodyguard. And his reply, "I want to be your bodyguard too!" Oh my. That was a wrong excuse to tell him. Of course I said he couldn't come so he cried, and he cried, and he cried. It took us about 30 minutes to calm him down and additional 15 minutes to distract him.

He even asked me, "Why do you have to go to the office?" I replied, "So that we will have money to buy pizza." But still he replied, "Why? Why? Why?"

So dumb of me not being able to come up with a better answer to the question, "Why do you have to go to the office?" Haha :)

Poor kid, he was so tired from crying that he was already asleep when we got back from the concert. It was still 11PM when we got back and he usually sleeps past 12AM.

I took a shower when we got home. I was already inside the bathroom when I heard Tiger, "Tita, open the door, I need to make wiwi." What the heck?!? There are 4 bathrooms in this house and you want to use the one I'm using?!? You even have a bathroom of your own inside your room?!? But I relented and stepped out of the shower so that he can use the bathroom first.

Come sleeping time, Tiger told me that he will sleep in "my room." I said he can't. He told me, "How come Nigel can sleep with you?" No kids, it's not about me playing favorites, it's about me sleeping on the floor when you want to sleep with me. Haha :) Good thing there's an extra sofa bed and that's where Tiger slept. The last time I slept on the floor, I only had a comforter on my back. Nigel got "my bed."

But I figured out that Tiger wanted to sleep with me because "my room" is the only one allowed to have the aircon turned on :)

I'm sleepy :(

Back in Katips

I'm back in Katipunan. Tiger and Nigel are with Erwin's sister. They'll be back on Monday so I might be in Wack Wack on Monday. We'll see :)

Wack Wack Day 2

Upon opening the door, I saw Nigel watching TV. As usual, he was watching Sponge Bob. But when he saw me, he said "Tita, can I watch Sponge Bob in your laptop?" I said yes, of course. I'm just wondering how watching Sponge Bob in a 13" computer screen is much better than watching it on flatscreen TV.

Ate Irma, one of the 3 yayas of the household, asked me if Tiger texted me to ask if I could bring home pizza. I said Tiger didn't tell me anything about that.

Come dinner time, Tiger approached me.

Tiger: Do you have money ba?
Me: Why?
Tiger: Can we have pizza?
Me: What pizza?
Tiger: The Hawaiian. Family.

There goes my P400. Haha :)

That night Nigel also told me that his mom doesn't watch YouTube. I replied, "But YouTube is so much fun." And his smart-aleck reply, "I know!"

Jules, your son thinks you're missing a lot by not logging in to YouTube haha :)

Wack Wack Day 1

Mario said that I should write my own version of "The Nanny Diaries" so here goes:

Nigel: Tita, can I watch Sponge Bob?
Me: On the TV?
Nigel: In the Internet.
Me (challenging Nigel): Where in the Internet?
Nigel (annoyed, thinks his Tita is dumb): In YouTube!!!

There. I got my YouTube introduction. From a 5-year old.

Nigel and me in "my room" only and then Tiger comes in.

Nigel: Hi Ku!
(Short for Kuya) How are you? Do you like the aircon?

Tiger walks out of the room.

We all know that the question "How are you?" is normally not followed with a question "Do you like the aircon?" :)

I didn't have funny moments with Tiger. He's a teenager now. He's so in love with his laptop and PSP that he hardly talks. Typical teen :)

wack wack bound

I'm Wack Wack bound. Double meaning there. Both "tied" and "off to". Haha. Jules and Erwin are in the US of A and left Tiger and Nigel. No adult to be with them so they resorted to asking me to take care of the kids.

I've been wondering for over a month now if I will survive my 1 month stay in Wack Wack. What's in store for me? We'll find out :)
