book shopping

i was at Fully Booked last night and i was droooling over the hundreds of books i want to buy. but obviously i can't buy all of them because books are freaking expensive. damn!

after MUCH deliberation, i bought the following books:







in case you haven't noticed, i'm onto UK authors. oh yeah, it started with Nick Hornby.

hmmm, with all the books i've recently bought, when will i ever get to read them? hee hee :D

sigh, i also wanted to buy the new Sophie Kinsella book, Can You Keep A Secret? and the new Helen Fielding book, Olivia Joules =( but i have to stick to my budget. sneef.

i saw Mandy Moore in person today and heard her sing 2 live songs from her latest album. all because i've got this glamour job. despite all the siksikan with all the jologs, it was worth it. man, i didn't have to shell out a single buck just to see her ü

we won! we won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've been really praying hard for this, that our interactive entry will win at least the bronze award in the 18th PAC. and we did!!!!!!! i feel so happy. Cross Patch even called me up to congratulate me. i'm all woozy and warm inside right now, the greatest feeling i've had all year long thats related to work.

i really don't care right now what policies they will implement next, if they will suspend me because of office policy violations, or if they stretch my targets. why? because i'm on my way out.

book bargains

i'm such a sucker for book bargains especially if they are hard bound books. i just bought the hard cover edition of Maeve Binchy's Tara Road for 140 bucks. I was thinking of buying a hard bound book of Barbara Taylor Bradford just because it was just for 65 bucks. and then i thougyht, naaah, i have too much thrashy books in my shelf already :P

this blog has a site meter and i have never used it to check my hits or page views because i know they're zilch. as there is always a first for everything, i finally checked my site meter account. i clicked on on the By Referrals link and it showed me the different search words that people used that led them to my site (in no particular order):

1. DLSU Green Archers, DLSU Green Archers Wallpapers, UP Fighting Maroons pictures - i'm definitely an Atenean ;p

4. serena williams a picture of strength and beauty - disclaimer: i'm not a serena williams fan!!!!!! but i did post something like: yay serena is not invincible. she lost a game earlier. somethign like that.

official holidays

all our officials, from the president down to the directors, are all in subic right now. some of them have been out since tuesday. most though left last thursday. that gave us a chance to practice our ninja skills ü Summer Breeze and I went to Greenhills last Thursday and then SM Megamall on Friday. ain't it neat playing hooky? mwahahahaha ü

books!!!!!!!!

with a 3-day holiday, i was totally bored the first day. so i decided to go to the bookstore on the second day to buy some books. voila!!!! in less than an hour, i had purchased 2 books! i could feel myself grinning silly after i paid for my books. im such a nerd :P

no regrets here. i love books!!!!



i just had to buy this. i am certified Nick Hornby fan. and this is his latest book. i wouldn't miss it for the world. hahaha.



this was too good to pass. hardcover edition at 75.00???? you gotta be kidding me! uber bargain! :)
